The Adjunct Instructor in Statistics will be responsible for teaching up to two sections of Statistical Design and Process Control (EGR305) for the Summer 2018 semester (Special Session). This course serves as mechanical engineering students' introduction to statistical concepts. Additionally, applications to manufacturing processes (e.g., Six Sigma), design of experiments, and related topics are introduced in the course. Computer software (such as Excel or Matlab) may be used to illustrate these statistical concepts.
A successful candidate will have a Master of Science degree or higher in an engineering, mathematics, or related field as well as either teaching experience, industrial experience, or both.
