MarketSource has partnered with b8ta, a company who focuses on bringing the latest smart home tech products to their customers. We are currently looking for individuals who have a passion for the latest technology and ability to communicate its benefits to join our b8ta team as a full time Store Lead.

The b8ta Store Lead is responsible for managing 1-2 part time b8ta sales representatives, driving consumer engagement and demonstrating b8ta smart home products and services within a national retail store. Products and services range from smart phone activated home theaters, security cameras and voice intercoms to light switches. In order to effectively be successful, the b8ta store lead must have excellent customer engagement, demonstration, and selling skills. In addition, they must be able to identify, hire, train, and manage talent through their ability to develop others along with strong performance management skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Personal execution of proactive customer engagement, product demonstrations, and sales performance of the products and services offered.

  • Exceed revenue and other key metric expectations for the location.

  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of products and services within the location.

  • Provide store-level market intelligence to program leadership and b8ta leadership as needed.

  • Train and coach MarketSource b8ta sales associates (b8ta testers) inside a national retail location to sell and demonstrate the latest technology products, accessories and services directly to customers.

  • Ensure our associates represent MarketSource and b8ta with the highest integrity and ethical standards.

  • Ensure a truly agnostic consultative selling framework is mastered and executed.

  • Ensure active engagement is occurring on the retail sales floor to demonstrate the products and services to as many consumers as possible.

  • Ensure products and displays are fully functional and meet/exceed our client’s expectations along with adhering to the standards of the retailer.

  • Establish and maintain critical relationships with our client’s retail partners including but not limited to: Store Managers, Dept. Leads and Retail Associates.

  • Ensure the development and maintenance of strong relationships with all vendors. This includes adoption of all pertinent product knowledge and promotional activity.

  • Ensure and promote strong relationships with the field team and Regional Leadership to ensure communication continuity and adoption of all directives

Supervisory or Management Responsibility/Decision Making Level:

  • Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.

  • Maintains operations by enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

  • Ensures employee satisfaction through progressive employee engagement

  • Effectively manages attrition through consistent employee engagement and performance management processes.

  • Manages store performance to exceed all demonstration and sales objectives.

  • In conjunction with Support Team Members, manages all aspects of store execution, including but not limited to: geo checking in and out of all associates, shift scheduling and hours completion, and call report compliance.

  • Executes launch of projects and initiatives and insures all required training is completed and verified for retention.

  • Provides feedback on current performance at the location and specific individual level

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • 2+ years of retail management experience

  • Proven record as a leader and manager

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Knowledge of IoT products and services highly preferred

  • Proven experience in driving sales reps to perform and deliver client expectations

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:

  • Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays in order to meet the needs of the business

  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing and moving items

  • Requires the ability to move around the store, assist customers and maneuver merchandise when necessary

  • Performs additional job duties as assigned

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds independently
