Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Program Coordinator in West Chester, Pennsylvania
Children’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Services (CIDDS) serves children, adolescents and young adults from birth to 21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, as well as behavioral and emotional disorders. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care in the environment best suited to the challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community. CIDDS services include two Approved Private Day Schools, community-based mental health services, community based employment training and social skills training, therapeutic foster care and a full-time residential program.
Devereux CIDDS is currently seeking a Program Coordinator to work in West Chester, PA. This is a female unit with approximately 11 clients ranging in age from 9-21 years old. The diagnoses and functioning levels vary, however, all Glen Loch clients have some level of verbal language skills. Glen Loch clients also have primary mental health diagnosis such as Schizoaffective Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Adjustment Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
Program Coordinator Job duties include :
Provides primary first-line supervision for staff and students during assigned shift.
Supervises direct care staff in the delivery of programming and client supervision.
Assists in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all quality program components, the planning and supervision of all residential programming, activities, and schedules and in monitoring the daily operation of assigned programs to include client fiscal matters, physical plant and equipment, and FTE utilization.
Assists in program communications with families and outside agencies.
Demonstrates ability to establish systems and measures to ensure a safe environment, identify risk to applicable customers and take appropriate interventions.
Responsible for responding to emergency situations and implementing appropriate procedures.
Demonstrates ability to investigate, intervene and resolve complaints as well as seek appropriate resources to solve problems.
Actively participates to reinforce a safe environment and implement changes within scope of responsibility.
Will oversee Jackson B and Corwen also.

Associate's Degree or credit equivalent in Human Services or related field required with a desire to pursue a Bachelor's degree.
One year supervisory experience in a residential treatment or health care setting preferred.
One year of direct care work required.
Must possess and maintain valid driver's license, and be at least 21 years of age.
Proficient computer skills and mastery of Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Have a strong passion for working with and helping children with special needs.
