The Supply Chain Management Specialist is responsible for achieving a level of competency over an acceptable period of time for building and maintaining all databases, and coordinating the use of the Purchasing, General Stores, and Operating Room computer systems. Performs administrative and organizational tasks to ensure that system processes are being executed thoroughly and effectively. Work requires internal contacts outside the work group to resolve mutual problems and to collaborate on work procedures. Responsible for ensuring that satisfaction and service with internal contacts is maintained. Contact with external contacts involves providing or getting factual information. Requires normal courtesy and tact in dealing with others. The job duties affect direct patient care through the completion of tasks which allow others to provide direct care. Innovations improve work procedures and methods and primarily result in some time and cost savings.
