Baltimore City Community College Procurement Buyer Specialist in Baltimore, Maryland

Description/Job Summary

The Procurement Buyer Specialist provides college-wide procurement for commodities and services. This position ensures all product specifications meet the needs of Baltimore City Community College (BCCC), ensures all procurement activities are in compliance with BCCC, the State delegated authority, and COMAR Title 21. This position is involved in the entire small procurement process (drafting specifications, soliciting to e-Maryland Marketplace, analyzing bids, making recommendations for award, and creating purchase orders or blanket purchase orders). This position also acts as the college-wide Credit Card reviewer and college-wide Contract Database Manager.

Required Qualifications

  1. Working knowledge of FMIS/ADPICS.

  2. Working knowledge of COMAR Title 21 Procurement relations.

  3. Working knowledge of e-Maryland Marketplace.

  4. Associate's Degree from an accredited college/university.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. At least two years of procurement experience.

  2. Experience with reviewing and/or auditing State credit card transactions.

  3. Knowledge of the State's Small Business Reserve and Minority Business Enterprise programs.

  4. Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint)

  5. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university.

  6. Experience with maintaining contract databases.
